Integrate with Shopify (Short Guide)

Eirly Health > Guides > Practitioners

Written by Dr Daniela Berg

The Shopify integration lets you sell test bundles directly through your own Shopify store. When a client purchases a test from your store, they're automatically invited to the platform and receive their referral. Every client who buys through your Shopify store is also added to your organisation as a new client in the practitioner portal.

This means you can sell your products directly through the portal, through your Shopify store, or both. You can even sell the same product through multiple stores under different names or pricing.

Prerequisites

Before starting, you'll need:

  • A verified practitioner account with an organisation set up

  • Valid billing details on your organisation

  • A Shopify store (or a Shopify development store for testing)

You can test the full integration using the staging environment before going live. Contact support for staging access details.

Step 1: Create your test bundles

Create the test bundles in the portal that mirror the products on your Shopify store. For example, if you sell a "Testosterone Test" on Shopify, create a matching bundle in the portal using the test bundle builder.

  1. Go to Test Bundles in the left-hand menu and create your bundles.

  2. When naming each bundle, tick "Save as template". Bundles must be saved as templates to work with the Shopify integration.

  3. Repeat for each product you sell on Shopify.

Using the same names as your Shopify products makes it easier to link them up in the next steps.

Step 2: Create a store in the portal

A "store" in the portal is a configuration record for your external Shopify store. If you have one Shopify store, you'll create one store record. If you sell through multiple external stores, create one record per store.

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Click Configure new store.

  3. Select Shopify as your store provider.

  4. Give the store a name and optional custom store ID (this can't be changed later).

  5. For the Store Signing Secret, you'll need to get this from your Shopify admin:

    • Log in to your Shopify admin.

    • Go to Settings > Notifications > Webhooks.

    • Copy the signing secret shown under "Your webhooks will be signed with".

    • Paste it into the Store Signing Secret field in the portal.

  6. Click Add to save your store configuration.

Step 3: Link your bundles to Shopify products

This step maps each Shopify product to the corresponding test bundle in the portal. This is how the platform knows which test to generate when a sale comes through.

  1. In Settings > Integrations, click on your newly configured store.

  2. Click Add saved bundle to store.

  3. Select a bundle on the left side.

  4. On the right side, enter the Shopify product ID. To find this:

    • Log in to your Shopify admin and go to Products.

    • Click into the product that matches the bundle.

    • The product ID is the number at the end of the URL in your browser's address bar.

  5. Repeat for each product you want to link.

  6. Click Add products to store.

Step 4: Set up the webhook in Shopify

This tells Shopify to send purchase events to the platform so orders are processed automatically.

  1. In the portal, go to Settings > Integrations and click your store.

  2. Scroll down to Webhook configuration and click Copy to copy the webhook URL.

  3. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications > Webhooks.

  4. Click Create webhook.

  5. Paste the webhook URL into the URL field.

  6. Under Event, select Order payment.

  7. Set the API Version to the latest available.

  8. Save the webhook.

Test the integration

Run a test transaction through your Shopify store to confirm everything is connected. The platform should receive the order, invite the client to create an account, and generate a referral once they verify.

How it works

  1. Client purchases a test bundle on your Shopify store.

  2. The order details are sent to the platform via the webhook.

  3. The platform verifies the product and bills your organisation account.

  4. The client is invited to create an account and verify their email.

  5. Once verified, their referral is generated and results are delivered to both the client and your practitioner portal.
